Polly Edsell
British, Multilingual Voice Over Artist

About
I'm a classically trained Voice Over Artist and Audiobook Narrator based in London. With nearly 100 titles to my name, I've had the pleasure of working with the top studios, publishers and authors both in the UK and abroad. I'm known for my humorous timing, warm native RP tone, and multilingual abilities.
After graduating from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, I joined the Royal Shakespeare Company. Following my jolly time with them in Stratford-Upon-Avon, I turned my attention to voice acting and haven't looked back.
Having lived in France, Switzerland and Italy, and subsequently studying French and Italian at Bristol University I'm fluent in these languages, as well as having a good grasp of Spanish, and a decent ear for German pronunciation.
I have a Professional Home Studio as well as always being happy to come to you to record.
From the moment I heard Polly's sample I knew she was the best possible choice to narrate my book. Watching at her at work was such an experience, she's the master of her craft. She did such a remarkable job on my novel (which had a staggering number of different voices, accents and dialects) that I was able to listen to it afresh and at moments even forget I'd written it and enjoy it as a listener.

Audible Reviews
“Brilliantly narrated and a wonderful story; made me laugh and cry out loud. I would certainly recommend a listen”
“The story was well paced and intriguing. The narrator was brilliant. Her accents of the various characters were very authentic making it clear who was speaking. Excellent work.”
“A story of unfolding intrigue.. Great characterisation. Not highbrow, or super intellectual but a jolly good story that unfolds as out heroine pieces together information and vital parts of the mystery of her brothers murder.”
“Really enjoyed this book! The narration was great, the plot was good, and the characters were charming (even the un-charming ones).”
“Now to read book 2! Narrator was excellent, when she did the different characters you know which character she was playing”
“Narration was ideal and suited the characters really well.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed this book -
From start to finish …
The narrator did a great job and made listening „addictive“

“I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of listening to The Last Restaurant in Paris, it’s beautifully narrated and feels very real.”
“A wonderful gripping story. I felt as if I was listening to a true story based on real events, not fiction. It was so cleverly written and the sensational narrator just brought all the characters to life and I found myself immersed in the story not wanting it to stop. Polly Edsell, the amazing narrator, not only made me experience a cocktail of emotions during her reading but I actually had a lump in my throat on more than one occasion and ultimately shed real tears of sadness as well as tears of joy and laughter. It all felt so real. 5 stars throughout!”
“Loved this book.
A little more exciting than the other books in this series and the narrator as always.. brilliant!”
